N.C. A&T ribbon cutting for new engineering building
Today I joined Gov. Roy Cooper, N.C. A&T Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr., with other staff and donors to cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of the new Harold L. Martin Senior Engineering and Research complex at N.C. A&T.
This $90 million investment is 130,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, open concept laboratories, high bay areas and makerspaces. It proudly stands four stories high. The $2 billion bond passed by North Carolinians in 2016, included funding to support the expansion of STEM offering at universities across the state, including NC A&T. The university’s engineering program is renowned across the country for graduating more African American engineers than any university in America.
